This series gives an insight into my project "No Matter What".
During the time of the Corona pandemic, I often visited my old home and my family living there. Always equipped with a camera, I began to observe family life and to take pictures in the sense of street photography. In doing so, I noticed how differently the individual family members look at and deal with the crisis and wondered whether this fact leaves (negative) traces in the community in the long run.
This is how the idea for this photo project came about, with which I would like to show that despite different subjective realities and assumptions, cohesion is possible and (perhaps precisely for this reason) even necessary. Unposed little photo stories tell of solidarity, happiness and love. Worries and fears should not be hidden either. Embedded in the stories are portraits of the family members and excerpts from interviews I conducted with them.
